Robert Dold says "Let’s get to work"
2/16/2010
Dear Friends,
I want to thank you for your support. I am greatly honored to have you on my team. Over the past several months, we have earned the trust of so many neighbors and new friends which was in large part why we were successful last Tuesday.
My victory in the primary was achieved because of the hard work of our many supporters, such as you, who dedicated countless hours of their time supporting my campaign for Congress. Our tireless volunteers helped push us to victory by making phone calls to voters, knocking on doors in the district, distributing yard signs and literature and supporting us financially. I am so thankful for all your hard work and support. I would also like to thank those whose vote of confidence will allow me to fight further for small business common sense change in Washington.
While there is reason to celebrate, this week I am getting back to work and gearing up for the general election. The nation will be watching over the next nine months as we prepare for November. We are going to work hard and fight vigorously to keep this seat in the control of a thoughtful, independent leader. I need your support in that fight.
The race ahead of us will be a tough one, but I know that I have what it takes to win. In the months ahead, we will take our strong grassroots campaign to another level. That means meeting face-to-face with tens of thousands of voters in the district, and spreading the word about why I believe I am the best choice for changing the course in Washington DC.
We are looking for help introducing my message to friends, neighbors and colleagues in cities throughout the 10th Congressional District. If you are interested in hosting an event or inviting me to come speak to a group with which you are affiliated give us a call at 847-251-DOLD (3653). Together we can spread the word about our path to a better future and help America “Get Back to Work”.
Again, I am so grateful for the many volunteers and supporters who helped lead us to victory last week. I couldn’t have done it without you. Let’s get to work.
Sincerely,
Robert Dold
